OUR STORY
Built on nearly
four decades of trust.
Long before online reviews, businesses earned trust through the quality of their work.
That's how GS Thompson & Sons was built – and it's how we still work today. Every recommendation, repeat customer and finished project has helped shape the reputation we've proudly built across Sussex since 1986.
A great reputation
isn’t built overnight.
ABOUT US
It's earned, one job at a time.
GS Thompson & Sons was founded by Gordon Thompson in 1986 with a simple belief: do the job properly, treat people fairly and leave every property better than you found it.
Today, the business is proudly carried forward by the next generation of the Thompson family, continuing the standards Gordon built his reputation on nearly forty years ago.

never be the thing you notice.
THE THOMPSON STANDARD
The best work simply looks right.
Clean lines. Flat walls. Crisp corners. A finish that disappears into the room because it's exactly as it should be.
Getting there takes experience, patience and an understanding that the smallest details often make the biggest difference.
Doing things properly never goes out of style.
For nearly 40 years, we’ve built our reputation one project at a time.
We turn up when we say we will.
We protect your home before working.
We leave every property clean and tidy.
We never cut corners – especially the ones you can’t see.
FEATURED WORK
Since 1986, we've helped homeowners, builders and businesses across Sussex complete projects of every size.
From small repairs and home renovations to
large-scale rendering systems and commercial developments, every finish reflects the same care, precision and attention to detail.
Take a look through some of our recent work and see the results for yourself.
Every single project
tells a story.
Looking for a plasterer you can rely on?
After all this time, every job still carries the Thompson name. That's a responsibility we're proud to uphold.
Whatever your project, we'd be happy to discuss your plans, answer your questions and provide a clear, no-obligation quotation.
